Speaking of getting close to nature, a highlight of any stay here is the magic of the world-famous Penguin Parade, as hundreds of cute penguins waddle up the beach each day at dusk.

Surrounded by forests and mountains, Club Wyndham Wanaka is the ideal base for water sports enthusiasts, hikers, and ski or snowboard junkies. See awe-inspiring Thunder Creek Falls on a hike in Mount Aspiring National Park, go boating and fishing on the Clutha River, or parachute over mountains, glaciers, and lakes with SkyDive Wanaka. Skiers and snowboarders can hit the fresh powder of Treble Cone, Snow Farm, and Cardrona Alpine Resort. And there’s no better way to finish your adventures than to bask in the hot tub or sauna back at the hotel or cool off in the resort pool.

Skiers and snowboarders can experience a gold medal getaway at Club Wyndham Shirakabaso Shiga Kogen, where the 1998 Nagano Winter Olympics were held. An all-season destination within a national park, the resort provides access to pristine hikes through breathtaking woodlands, blue-green lakes, and dynamic volcanic formations. Wildlife spotting is a sport of its own with regular sightings of golden eagles, black bears, Japanese stoats, and snow monkeys. No matter when you go, there’s action aplenty to keep you entertained.

THE FOODIE TRAVELLER –
CULINARY ADVENTURES
Food is an integral part of any culture, and for foodies, a holiday isn’t complete without indulging in the flavours, smells, and textures of a new destination. Our resorts provide the perfect opportunity to savour the world, bite by delicious bite. Whether it’s exploring local markets, tasting traditional dishes, visiting vineyards, or learning to cook with local ingredients, food-focused travel is one of the most authentic ways to explore a destination and deepen your connection with its people.

At Associate Resort TRYP by Wyndham Pulteney Street Adelaide, foodies can explore the Central Market, one of the largest undercover markets in the Southern Hemisphere, tasting artisan bites from 70 stalls, or go further afield to the Barossa Valley or McLaren Vale - both easily accessible by train and car - for some of the most beautiful vineyards in the country. At the resort’s own Mamacita, you can sample 50 tequilas (maybe not all at once) and chilli sauces that rank up to 100 on the chilli scale - a great way to challenge your travelling companions.

Tasmania is renowned for its great food festivals and world-class produce and at Club Wyndham Seven Mile Beach, you are at the heart of it all. Each Saturday, Salamanca Market welcomes visitors to sample a huge selection of local seafood, cheeses, jams and chutneys, fruits and harvested native ingredients. Back at the hotel you can try your hand at making billy tea and damper, or enjoy a menu inspired by locally sourced produce alongside a great selection of Tasmanian wines.

Few destinations celebrate culinary adventures as much as the Margaret River and Club Wyndham Dunsborough showcases food and wine from the region’s best growers. You can visit nearby Lenton Brae winery, which specialises in interesting small-batch wines or check out Wayfinder, which boasts a vineyard, sheep, chickens, bees and native bushland. Toby’s Restaurant at the hotel offers a carefully curated selection of dishes using local ingredients so you can experience the best of the west without leaving your home base.

Further afield, a trip to Club Wyndham Normandy in France is a gourmet traveller’s nirvana, offering a rich tapestry of flavours, centuries-old traditions and culinary adventures galore. Normandy’s cuisine is known for its hearty, comforting dishes, many of which reflect the region’s agricultural roots. Camembert hails from Normandy and is often enjoyed with fresh, crusty bread or paired with apples, another of the region’s specialties. Seafood lovers will find plenty to savour along Normandy’s coastline including fresh oysters, mussels, and scallops. Along the northwestern coast near Mont Saint Michel, you can try naturally salted marsh lamb – lambs which feast on grasses that are submerged every day by the rising ocean. Back at the resort, you can burn off those calories in the indoor and outdoor pools, and let the kids run wild at the fabulous playground.
