Club Wyndham Inventory in Japan
Club Wyndham South Pacific’s inventory in Japan is structured in a different way. The club owns points within Sundance Resort Club, which enables owners to access Sundance’s 16 resorts and apartments. The balance of the Sundance Resort Club points are owned by the club’s own members and other timeshare clubs managed by Wyndham Destinations Asia Pacific.
The arrangement enables Club Wyndham South Pacific owners to utilise a broader range of room types (subject to availability) for a lesser financial commitment to the club than if the inventory was purchased directly. Club Wyndham South Pacific does not own 191 rooms in Sundance Resort Club, but owners are able to book in them. Bookings at some resorts need to be made through Owner Services.
Tabulating this inventory separately draws attention to the unique ownership arrangement, and is essential as Japanese apartments do not traditionally conform to one, two or three-bedroom formats, but are large rooms with multiple beds. Some apartments offer raised Western-style bedding, while others offer futon-style bedding that is customary in Japan.
